Pet behavior & emotional well-being
Caring for thousands of pets since college

For years, I thought I was helping pets.
Then one day, I realized they had been helping me all along.
What started as a college side business in 2016 slowly became one of the greatest teachers of my life.
Back then, I thought I was building a pet care company.
A way to help families, spend time with animals, and create something meaningful.
I never imagined that a few pet sitting clients would one day grow into thousands of visits, hundreds of families, and a philosophy that would shape not only the company, but the way I see the world.
Over the years, the business grew.
But more importantly, so did I.
The pets taught me things I wasn't expecting to learn.
The nervous rescue that couldn't settle.
The senior dog who moved a little slower each week.
The puppy who seemed to have endless energy and no off switch.
The cat hiding beneath the bed.
Everyone seemed focused on changing the behavior.
But I found myself asking a different question.
What if the behavior wasn't the problem?
What if it was the message?
As life brought its own challenges, I found myself learning about stress, resilience, trust, healing, and what it truly means to feel safe.
And somewhere in that journey, I began seeing animals differently.
I stopped seeing behavior as something to fix.
I started seeing it as something to understand.
Because behind every bark, every zoomie, every growl, every accident, every tail wag, every hidden corner, and every excited greeting is a story.
-
A feeling.
-
A need.
-
A nervous system trying to tell us something
That realization became the foundation of Kacey Kares.
Not just caring for pets.
Understanding them.
Because when animals feel safe, they flourish.
When they feel understood, they trust.
And when they trust, incredible things happen.
The truth is, Kacey Kares was never built on dog walking.
It was built on listening.
Listening to the animals.
Listening to their families.
Learning, growing, and evolving year after year.
Because behavior is communication.
And every pet deserves someone willing to listen.
